NOBROW

It took me ages to find a copy of NOBROW issue 1 in Manchester. It's a zine edited by Sam Arthur and Alex Spiro. The theme is 'Gods and Monsters'.

This is my favourite print, by Paul Blow.

OUT DRAWING

I've decided to start drawing people while I'm out of the house, eating dinner etc. I draw alot from photographs but I want to be able to draw just as good but from life. I did these today, they also coincide with my Uni project which is to choose a place and draw it and its inhabitants everyday. I have chosen this little place called The Art Of Tea in East Didsbury, it's a little deli with a second hand bookshop in the back run by this old Eastern European guy, well judging by his accent that's where I think he's from.

ERIC YAHNKER

Eric used to do drawings for South Park and is now a well established illustrator, and one of my favourites. He did this series where he drew relevant faces instead of letters.

I was bored on a rainy Sunday and did this one. The following weekend a drunk friend fell on it which is why it's all creased.

Here is an interview and a sample of his work on Fecal Face: http://www.fecalface.com/SF/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1603

PASCAL

This was the first project I was set at Uni; it was based around positive and negative. I had to work with these to create two final A1 size drawings. I drew Pascal but changed some of his features around in two drawings, the results were pretty odd.
